Lake como (varenna) next week

We are staying in varenna next week, any great recommendations welcome! We have a 2mo and a 3yo so it will be a very lazy holiday, plus pil. We do need a nice meal or drinks at least one night while grandparents are here!

Just back from Lake Como
Bellagio is stunning and a short ferry trip away .
Lugano is absolutely beautiful too , in Switzerland but around a 35 min drive. I prefer Lugano to como.
We did a day trip to Bergamo which is full of history and also a day in Milan city .

That sounds like a busy trip! We are definitely going to bellagio.

Good luck op, I miss it so much , the lakes are gorgeous !
There's a 'lido' in many of the villages . This translates to shore but they tend to have a pool , pebbly beach area , drinks / cafe.
There's one in Griante and one in menaggio that I know of , not too sure about the east side of the lake .
The weather was lovely most days . On the one day it was thundery and rainy everywhere we drove to Austria but I understand that's a bit dramatic

Villa Balbianello is stunning on far side ( Bond & Star wars filmed there). Really interesting tour. Also hire a motor boat to have a little trip up & down the lake.
