Hi there
Well I know its still 2018 and summer holidays, however we aren't going away this year, and thinking of summer 2019 holiday, as DD due to sit A levels next year and hoping to be able to get an early holiday before big school holidays start in 2019, however how do you all sort out your big holidays: do you book early or late, we thinking of booking just after Christmas as hopefully will have more of an idea of timetable for exams etc. and then pay gradually each month for holiday? Any advice would be gratefully appreciated. Kind regards

If you want or need something specific (a certain resort, type of apartment/room, certain dates, regional flights, etc), it's best to book early so you can lock those things in. As your DD will be 18 have you asked her what kind of holiday she'd like? That might be a good starting point.

Exam timetables come out pretty early so should be out at the beginning of September. I would book as early as you can to make the most of the discounts etc. what sort of holiday does she want? have you thought about leavers day, prom dates etc? Might she want to go on a big holiday with her friends?

I book early because anticipation and planning is as much fun as the holiday itself! Grin
