No room safe, where/ how with stuff?

Holidaying at a European center parcs soon and I've just noticed my cottage doesn't come with a safe. Where do you store things like passports, documents, laptops etc when you are out?

Its not practical to take everything with us ( eg to pool, beach). Do we leave it locked in car- which is miles away from the accom?

What do others do?

We have locks on our suitcases and lock stuff in them in situations like this.

Wouldn't recommend putting all your important stuff in a locked case. It would make it really easy for a thief. Walking away carrying a case in a holiday area nobody would look twice and the thief can open it later elsewhere.
We distribute stuff around the place and keep a list of where we put everything on e mail so can remember. I've put passport in washing powder boxes money in coffee jars etc.

I wonder about doing the suitcase thing, BUT getting a steel cable/bike lock thing to secure the suitcase to something fixed 🤔

....or padlock a wardrobe closed..

I guess putting it in a locked case is better than leaving it out in sight. We have distributed stuff around too but if you're in a hotel room there aren't washing powder boxes, etc,. We have a travel safe with a strong cable and padlock but that's not much good to suggest to someone who doesn't have time to offer one. It wouldn't be big enough to put a laptop in either.😯

Order one.......not offer one!

We never use a safe for anything!!
Can you leave them in the car ?

Won't take multiple tablets or laptops, but something like this should do documents, passports, cash etc.
