Restaurants in Venice

Looking for recommendations for good & fairly reasonably priced family friendly restaurants in Venice. We are staying in Dorsoduro so particularly interested in that area but welcome general recommendations too. Most top scorers on TA seem to be wine bars or 11-course tasting menus, neither of which will suit super-fussy DS. Thanks MNetters!

We liked Il Muro in San Stae
Not sure how far that is.

La Columbina was lovely! Bit hard to find but was worth it x

Can't remember specific restaurant names but go across the academia bridge away from the centre, lower priced good restaurants over there

Birreriria Zannon cicchetti

Cocaeta non la solite crêpes

Osteria Al Squero, Dorsoduro, 943-944, 30123 (over water from Saint Mark’s, perhaps after traghetti)

Pasta & Sugo (near Saint Marco) Calle Fuseri, 4276, 30124

We went to Ristorante A Beccafico Arte which is quite far from where you're staying (25 mins walk) but very central if you're doing a stroll along the grand canal. It was pretty reasonably priced by Venice standards, and the pizza and pasta were both excellent!!

We love taverna san trovaso in Dorsoduro. Always a good mix of locals and tourists and often a queue when it opens at 7pm so I always email and book in advance.

Best pizza is Ae Oche - they have a few branches.
