Ubers to get home from the airport?

Hi Has anyone ordered an UBER from heathrow or another airport? How does it work.

The train etc goes no where near our house and we are close to the airport.

It just works like any other taxi - picks you up at the airport and drops you at your house.

Where do they meet you and how do you know what that spot is depending on each terminal........

as clearly the ubers can't just park up on the street at the airport.

I get them from Glasgow and they pick up at the collection point. When you order it on the app, it will pinpoint your location.

If you Google uber Heathrow airport the first few results are links to the instructions for passengers and drivers to do this.

Are you by yourself or with partner - I have been warned off using them, would never go in one by myself

used uber from gatewick they pick up in one of the short stay car parks - worked really well

You can pre book a taxi to meet you at the airport, if you give the date, flight number, your name.
