Self catering on Scilly Isles

Hi
Has anyone stayed in self catering accommodation on St Mary’s in the Scilly Isles?
We’ll be going next May half term for a few nights with a 2 and 5 year old. Planning on getting the ferry from Penzance.
I wanted to do 3 or 4 nights on the Scilly Isles and take a couple of little boat trips out to the other islands in that time.
Thanks

We did this a few years ago and stayed in a flat above a bakery/cafe called Kavorna. It was only about 5 mins' walk from the ferry terminal and very convenient for the town and boat trips. We are also a family of 4 and it was just the right size for us.

Oh great thanks, I’ll have a proper look later when the kids are asleep but it looks exactly what I had in mind. Did you stay anywhere else in Cornwall or just do Scilly? I plan on doing a few nights in Cornwall either side of Scilly just to break up the journey.

The Isles of Scilly are amazing. We go regularly. Have just come back. Check out Sandpiper apartments. We stayed in Harbourside - steps going right on to Town Beach. There is a safety gate if you have children. A couple of minutes from the boats and shops.

Definitely take the evening boat to St Agnes for a fish and chip supper 👍

Also, be aware that you may need to book if you want to eat out in the evenings.
