He is making an effort but doesn't know the area and can't think where to go. Any ideas?

Marwell Zoological Park?

Anchovy · 01/06/2007 16:26

Marwell is very nice (although pricy!) I took the DCs there a couple of weekends ago and they really enjoyed it. Its a good long day out and there are a couple of very nice play areas as well as all the animals.

He only has a few hours unfortunately and Marwell is great but just too expensive. We really need a country park type thing that has lots to do but doesn't cost the earth but Moors valley is such a long trek.do you know of any more local or similar?

There is Farleigh Mount, which isn't that far outside Winchester. I used to go there kite flying and I think there are picnic tables and the like (this was...oooh...about 33 years ago, so of course it could all be a huge housing estate by now!

Stockbridge Downs? (Ditto!)

How old are they?
the Abbey Gardens is nice, has good playground but in the city

arwen · 01/06/2007 16:44

Where is the abbe gardens PPP?

We used to go to Farley mount when they were small but it is dog poo city and really disgusting
