Chester Zoo Free Child Admission?

Chester Zoo allow children 2 and under in for free. My son turned 3 just a few weeks ago and were planning on going next week. I just find it a little annoying that if he was just three weeks younger he would get in for free. Has anyone taken a child (just turned three) In for free before. My friend said put him in his buggy and wheel him through.

If he was three and a half or older i would pay the extra £17 but for the same of a few weeks.. Am I bring unreasonable not paying?

Oh and I'll be taking him alone so it will just be the two of us.. If that matters.

Id do it, providing you don't have to ask your child to lie about the age. But I doubt you would have to
