Recommend me a holiday/adventure

Hi, I love travelling. My DP and I usually go somewhere for 2-3 weeks in August each year. Previously we have travelled round Thailand, Cambodia, Peru, Bulgaria, India and last year was Sri Lanka. For various reasons we are only now able to plan a hol for the last part of August...we like to mix up activities...beach, diving, exploring cities, museums, cycling etc. Our budget can stretch to £2k each max but ideally lower. Where should we go? We are happy to back pack or use suitcases...a mix of air bnb, hotels and hostels is fine. We would ideally like to travel within country...do I need a travel agent? Argh...help!

How about Costa Rica. Combine it with Panama if you have time. The countryside is beautiful and you'll be able to go diving and do loads of different outdoor activities.

I'm on my phone so can't reread the op, but think you also mentioned museums. I don't think there are many worth going out of your way to visit, although the one at the Panama canal was more interesting than I'd expected.

If you could go without the diving, I would look at Denmark. It has everything else! Also Iceland. If you can stand the heat, Jordan might work.

Thankyou for your suggestions. We are outpriced for Costa Rica by booking so last minute but it is a firm favourite for next year. We have managed to book Cuba.
