CAn anyone recommend a nice hotel in Cheltenham for a girly weekend, maybe somewhere with a spa / facial / pampering bit to it please? Thanks!

The Queens Hotel on Montpellier is probably the best one in town, however, not sure if they have spa facilities but it's in the nice part of town with lovely shops - very nice French Patisserie nearby!

french patisserie is good! will look up their website, thanks.

The Kandinsky I haven't stayed at either, but the Kandinsky is just across the road from the Queens and has been completey refurbished. In my eyes The Queens, is abit 'old fashioned'.

Ohhh, forgot about the Kandinsky - v.nice and looks lovely at night time, still in the Montpellier bit. The Patisserie is called Frere Jacques.
I think if you're wanting spa facilities you might have to look at the surrounding towns - I think Cirencester has a hotel with a spa but I don't know what its called.

The Kandinskys website says it has use of a pool and gym 2 minutes away, Not sure where that is? There is also a really posh beauty place in Montpellier, really sorry, but can't remember what its called, but you would know it if you saw it!

Wellsie - are you from Cheltenham?

Blushes is on Montpellier but not sure if this is the one you're thinking of Furball.

I'm originally from Taunton in Somerset - yes where the cider is from!!
But now living in Churchdown, between Cheltenham & Gloucester. Where are you Furball?

Hi - Cirencester has the Stratton House Hotel which is just opposite a health/fitness/beauty club called Le Spa (don't think you can stay at Le Spa although might well be wrong). Not as nice as Montpellier though for cafes, shops etc!

We had to stay at the Kandinsky unexpectedly a few weeks back, and it was great. The brasserie on site was fine, although some of the dishes were a little over ambitious. Had both children with us though, so didn't get to try out any spa facilities etc. Room was very comfortable with lovely bath. Staff great too.

Think we're going to go for the Kandinsky, looks v nice & good spot as only a short trip - without the kids!! Thanks for all help.
