Well Enid, we go to Woodlands sister park, Twinlakes and it's amazing! One of those rare places which looks a complete nightmare on the pamphlets but isn't

Is it any good for little children? 1-4 year olds?

Im looking for places to take the dd's in the summer.

We used to go a lot when the DCs were younger - my Dad lives nearby. When we last went there were lots of things for little ones - the Mermaid pool was good. (That link won't go straight to the right page - you need to click on Leisure Park & then Small kids)
It's a gorgeous site too, in a deep wooded valley, with a stream running through it.
When we first started going it was still a working farm - the farmer's wife was a friend of my mum & they started it as part of the EC's set aside scheme for farmers to do other things with their land. The first slides & ball pool were built in the old barn - I don't know if the original
Death Slide is still there - this was 5 years ago DD was 12 then - she's the one in the blue sweatshirt. Is it still there Enid or is it all modern & plastic now?

Not that I'm recommending the death slide for your 1 year old btw! I think DS was about 5 when he first went on it. He says he's never found one as smooth - the plastic ones are never as good. I've never been on it btw - I have no shame in admitting I always chickened out!

Yes! I take my dc's age 18mths, 5 & 8 and they all love it (to Twinlakes in Melton Mowbray anyway - I think they're very similar and run by the same company)

PMSL at death slide! I went down one with my sister earlier this year. Had a last minute panic attack and swift change of mind as I desperately clung to the top of the slide, arms bent arkwardly backwards, had to let go in the end and flew down, only to have ripped my shirt and bruised all the underside of my arms Think I'll leave it to the kids next time
