Can you recommend somewhere nice to go?

We went to Kos this year, and to be honest I hated it..so it's dented my confidence a little in choosing somewhere for our next holiday..any suggestions of somewhere nice (and not too expensive ) to go? We don't need entertaining, so it doesn't need to be full on..quiet is good (but nice to be in walking distance of somewhere)..an interesting sea to swim in is important..and good weather late may/early June.

Corsica: this link gives you a good guide to the best beaches and some ideas for places to stay near to them totstotravel.co.uk/blog/family-friendly-corsica-everything-you-need-to-know/ After reading this article, we decided to stay at the Pinarello Apartments which were so well placed and good value.

What didn't you like about Kos? Or was it the wrong sort of place for you on Kos?

Gozo is quiet, good snorkelling and diving, good walks, easy to get around.

Try Kotor in Montenegro - fly into tivat.

Lovely old town and fantastic views around the bay, so a very interesting sea!

Weather. Should be good but not too hot.

Croatia - Cavtat or one of the islands around there.

Los Alcazares in Spain . Lovely little town with a really nice plaza with shops and restaurants and then a short walk to a lovely beach . Perfect for families .
