Just got back from holiday and starting to think about next year. Would love to stay in a cottage on a hotel estate or a luxury cottage that had swimming pool access. Cottage needs to be suitable for 4 including a 2 year old. Ideally in North West - Yorkshire - possible Midlands / Scotland. Location needs to have plenty of activity for the children. I am struggling help please

Not a cottage but we've stayed in some of these resorts and have never been disappointed.

Not sure if the locations work for you but I'd recommend them.

Sorry, the link hasn't filtered the search. It's the 'Go Active' breaks specifically.

We've booked quite a few breaks through Blue Chip www.bluechipholidays.co.uk/

Always really nice properties and with good facilities. They seem to specialise in sites etc.

My friend stayed here and loved it.

There are a few Cottages on the Raithwaite Estate www.raithwaiteestate.com/the-cottages/ The hotel has a pool and spa. Children are only allowed in the pool from 10-12 and 4-6. The hotel is on the coast very near to Robin Hood's Bay and there's a lot to do in the Whitby area.

There are lodges at the CAMERON house hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond
