London - What is cool to do with an 11 year old for the day?

Am looking for any recommendations please for London. No small brother to keep occupied too, just me and 11 yr old ds. He has done the Natural History and Science Museum when he was younger, and The Eye on our last trip.

What can we do next?

I would go back to science museum and possibly nat history, they do change exhibits, and now that he's older, different things would take his interest

ZacheryQuack · 29/05/2007 19:37

Duck tours?

ZacheryQuack · 29/05/2007 19:37

That was in reply to Twiglett by the way.

hana · 29/05/2007 19:38

although all other suggestions sound great too

Stars Wars exhibit at County Hall if he's into it , pricey (£16.50/12.50) but apparently worth it for those who know.

Bouquetsofdynomite · 29/05/2007 19:45

This place is supposed to be cool for kids.

Would he fancy the theatre? I took my 12 yr old niece to the Blue Man Group and she loved it! www.bluemangroup.co.uk/info.html - there are matinees on Sat and Sun, but it finishes 24th June

I took my 12 yr old ds into London yesterday. Started of at the Science of Spying exhibit in the Science Museum which he did enjoy, but it said it would take 1 hour on the ticket and he'd finished in 15 mins. £8 plus booking fee for him, if I'd gone it would be £10 plus booking fee.

Then, Oxford Street to Game to buy psp games.

Then Covent Garden which was really good fun, unicyclists, jugglers etc.

Pizza Hut for lunch.

Maybe your ds would like to go to the Aquarium? Took mine a couple of years ago and he was fascinated.

Thank you SO much everyone, there are some great ideas there.

Ellceeell, interesting to hear about the Blue Man Group, I wouldn't have thought of that.

He is a Star Wars fan, so will look into that too.

We are going to take them both to Tower of London in the summer, bit of education, and I hear there is a Pizza Express and a wagamama nearby!

Thanks again
