Lake Garda for my 50th

I love the look of Lake Garda but which areas/hotel would you recommend which is easy to get to from the airport

Annoyingly, when reading this, I got a popup saying "20% off travel insurance for new customers" (with a link) probably because your post features the word "airport" and "hotel".
These algorithms think they're smart but sometimes it doesn't work out, I'm not travelling anywhere...

The south east of the lake gets very busy/touristy so we stayed on the south west corner which was perfect.

Flew into Milan and drove to the Lake. I can't help with accommodation as we stayed in a static caravan with dc.

If you want a short transfer from Verona the southern part of the lake is better. If you want to visit most of the lake by ferry you would be better placed nearer the middle. Garda town is quite central, and you can visit both ends of the lake by ferry quite easily. I loved Malcesine as well. I didn't stay there, but just visited. If I go again that is where I would want to stay.

If you stay on the east side you will enjoy the sun for longer and have beatiful sunsets.
