Tignes - in the summer - what to do with kids??

We’re off to Tignes for a week’s break at the start of August. The kids are between 5-8 years old.

Could anyone make a few suggestions to help me plan out the week??

Packing?

Kids activities?

Ski? I understand we might be able to ski if we’re up at the crack of dawn! Any contacts for summer lessons? Ski stuff hire?

Restaurants? Should I book?

Thanks!

ESF do ski d’ete lessons in Tignes. I’ve only done it Val d’Isere but I didn’t think you had to be up THAT early, the lifts up to the glacier usually run until about lunchtime, I guess it depends how long it takes you to get to the lifts. ESF should be able to advise you on where to get equipment from too. I wore ski trousers and a t-shirt and wasn’t cold, you might want a thin jumper if you’re not a good skier and not moving much. It’s great fun and very surreal though!

No advice on the rest of your trip but hoped people who know Tignes will be along soon. Have a great trip!

You can hire pedalos and dinghy boats on the lake. TheSports Beach near the lake hosts a wide range of activities, with atrampolinelocated near thetennis courts. Look out for Marmo Jump, a large inflatable play paradise that sets up for the summer. There are a number of cycle hire shops, mini golf and a bowling alley.
