getting to benalmedena

Can anyone out there tell me the in's and out's of getting a train from Malaga Airport to Benalmedena? Arriving around noon, Taxi seems a bit expensive. Thanks

It's quite easy. I'm not sure if the line is direct as Malaga has a couple of stations, but once on the right line at Malaga, it will take about 20 minutes.

The train station at Benalmadena is actually in Feungirola (the two towns join), and unless you're staying at the Holiday Village (which is about 10 minutes walk), you may have to wait for a bus to get you into the center of Benalmadena, as the place is a bit sprawling.

You can get a direct train from Malaga airport to Benalmadena (the Malaga - Fuengirola line) - there is actually a train station in Benalmadena (Arroyo de la Miel, which is pretty central but a fair walk down to the coast if that's where you are staying).
