Croatia?

Can anyone recommend a cruise in this area? DH is keen to do a cruise next year. We did a Royal Carribean one when the kids were little (now teens). It was good but very crowded and we didn't see much of the destinations. DH insists the kids will get so much more out of it now they re older but I'd prefer something less "corporate". I would also prefer to cruise for about a week, then stay somewhere for a few days/week. I've read that there are cruises around the Croatian islands on smaller ships with about 20 cabins. However, they don't have the facilities of the big ships, the idea being that you actually see the destinations. I'm also worried they might be a bit too friendly iykwim! Anyone have any experience or make any suggestions.
Thx!

Have a look at GULET cruises, I think they look amazing but never persuaded DH to try one...

Probably too late now but we did this Womble.
There were no children on our cruise (38 people) and to be honest, not sure having children on board would have worked very well (or been very popular). It was really aimed at adults (and mainly older ones at that - we were probably the youngest at mid-50s).

But, we found it a great way to see the country and definitely do it again
