I have an Australian passport and I'm making a quick dash home to help with a family drama. My eldest DS10 is coming with me but he has a British passport and my husband's surname - We're leaving next Friday (all organised quite quickly) How can I get a Visa for him to travel? Does he need one?? We're only going for two weeks, can't remember what we did last time, it was four years ago! Also as my husband isn't coming this time I seem to remember reading here once that I'll need some documents allowing me to take him along. I sound really disorganised (I am!) I have a million other things going on at the moment - I'm hoping someone here has done similar and can advise, otherwise I fear I'll be trawling the internet getting conflicting advice.... Anyone? TIA

I just took the full birth certificate, showing my name as well but no one asked to see it. May be worth getting your husband to sign a letter confirming he is ok with you taking your DS to Aus?
