Heathrow T5 - Transfer to coach

IlonaRN · 03/07/2018 18:05

My plane is due to land at 19:35.
Possible coach times are 21:00 or 23:00.

I will need to clear passport control and fetch a pushchair from the baggage reclaim area (and our hand if they will let me check that in free).

Is 1 1/2 hours too little?

It’s never taken me longer than 1 hour or so including transit from B/C terminals, queuing at the border as no e-passport with the baby and waiting for baggage. But I’d be more worried about the flight being delayed than anything else. As Heathrow is so busy it’s very common that the plane gets put into a holding pattern and has to circle before landing. Personally I’d see if there’s a flexible coach ticket or would book an alternative means of travel if at all feasible but if it has to be those times then go for the later one.

Where is the coach travelling to?

schoty77 · 05/07/2018 22:40

I would go with the later slot. I've been on planes that have 'landed' on time, then it's taken another hour to pull in and unload everyone. Where are you travelling to?

Twotabbycats · 05/07/2018 23:36

You need to know where the coach goes from and which terminal you're coming into. If no delays you'd probably be ok for 21.00 but no guarantees... has taken me more than 1.5 hours to get from T4 to bus station 😡

italiancortado · 05/07/2018 23:49

Which terminal will you be landing at? Is it a domestic flight or international?

IlonaRN · 06/07/2018 18:57

It's an International flight (short-haul from Europe), landing at T5 at 19:35 if on time.
I know the coach stop is right outside the terminal, just am not sure if I could make the earlier of the two coaches!

I will be travelling with a toddler and pushchair and hopefully checked-in hand luggage.
