Day out ideas for long weekend?

Hi, I am very slack asking so late, but can anybody give me some ideas for days out in a car from east London? We have been to the east coast a few times now (like round Whitstable, Ramsgate, Southend-on-Sea), and have been to Leeds Castle, Sheffiend Park Gardens, and the South of England Rare Breeds Centre fairly recently, but I am after some inspiration.

There'll be four of us, DH and me, and a three year old DS, and six month old DS.

Hastings? We had a great day there at Easter - lovely aquarium that the kids loved as well as the fishing boats, usual crazy golf thing and rides, nice beach for throwing stones in the sea, FAB fish and chips, Smugglers caves (bit scary for LOs and not buggy friendly though!. I love Hastings.

Maidstone? Jump on a boat trip up the river, walk along the river.
