Where's the best place to take them for 3 days that's about one hour from London.(in July).

Need a place that'll satisfy a fussy 63-yr old lady who appreciates cleanliness and civilisation...as well as a place that might amuse dd?? Tough one I know!

And can anyone recommend good but cheap-ish accommodation there.

Many thanks!

I hear the Isle of Man is good, but never been!! How about The Channel Islands - loads of super hotels, B&B's and loads for little ones to do. Jersey is great. Zoo, beautiful beaches, pearl factory, pottery centre to visit, flowers to see everywhere, fantastic leisure centre. Sure the flights won't be too expesive either. St Brelade is lovely as is Gorey with a great harbour and that's where the pottery centre is.

LOL, perhaps you could fly to Bournemouth?

How about Jersey or Guernsey?

Sorry to take so long. Nope you don't need passports. It's fabbie over on the Channel Islands and if you can do a boat trip to Sark it's well worth it as there are no cars allowed there. Herm has a beautiful beach too.
