Anyone been cruising with kids?

We're planning on going on a P&O cruise next year (Venetian) with the boys. Just wondered if anyone had experienced it?

the cruise we wanted has been booked up for ages. It's not until August 2005. Maybe I need to wait a while before I'll get on a family one?
