Hi everyone

My uncle is coming to visit me all the way from Newbury to Blackpool, he wants to visit me by train and he will need a return ticket. My uncle has severe anxiety and is partially deaf and would rather avoid technology at all costs. He has asked me to purchase the tickets on his behalf but he does not want an E-ticket. Is it possible I can buy tickets online and have them sent out to him? Or if not can I buy the train tickets at my local train station even though the starting destination isn't that train station. Tia

You can buy online and have them sent out by post
I think it’s about £2:50 for the post option but they come within a couple of days

Thank you for getting back to me, do you know what the site is called that gives you that option? I have been on a few and they only provide etickets

If you use the trainline app you can choose ‘collect at the station’. You could then collect them from a station near you and post them to him. You don’t have to collect on the day or at the station you’re travelling from.

It’s the Trainline app
You can choose the option for postal delivery on there too

You can also buy tickets in person from anywhere to anywhere at your local station.
