Where to go on holiday?
I would like to stay in a luxury hotel but also in a place that has many places to visit and things to do. It is for 3 adults and I am not too sure about the budget.Travelling from the U.K.
Here is my criteria:

  • hotel to have a few restaurants, lots of entertainment and activities
  • hotel with a spa and nice beach
  • either all inclusive or half board
  • relatively safe country
  • somewhere like Mauritius ( have been many times before, but would not want to go to surrounding countries like Seychelles, Maldives reunion etc.

Thank you in advance for all of your suggestions!

Do you want somewhere child friendly?

Butterflycookie · 22/06/2018 20:46

It doesn’t have to be child friendly as there won’t be any children coming, just 3 adults.

I loved the Sala Samui in Koh Samui, ticks all of your boxes and with 3 adults you could get one of their little villas with a pool too. not too ££ and Samui is a beautiful place!

Try Dubai.
Similar to Mauritius but different, always sunny and hot! Madinat Jumeirah is the best hotel imo, loads of restaurants, beautiful beach and amazing pools, water park right next door with free entry for hotel guests if you fancy it.
No all inclusive but half board is good and includes breakfast and dinner at most restaurants! We've been seven times (with kids but loads of adults without) and are going back next year.

If not try Caribbean. Again been multiple times, Barbados - Sugar Bay Resort amazing! St Lucia - Coconut Bay, Aruba - Riu Palace. Loads of options there :)

Not staying in hotels as such, well not all inc types anyway, but we (me, dh and teenager dd) are going to California this summer: SAN Francisco, Napa, Sacramento, Yosemite and Monterey.

October we are going to Florida but that is purely for the heme parks and the Halloween specials.

Christmas is short haul to Valencia.

Next Easter we've booked to go to Singapore with a stop over in Abu Dhabi.

Not yet booked but planning for next summer: Japan.

Earlier this year we had a week in Antigua. Very relaxed and a beautiful resort (NonSuch Bay) though we were in a privately owned villa rather than the all inc accommodations.

Japan is way better at Easter. Hot and humid in the summer.
