Cupertino California

I'm going to Cupertino next month with work. I haven't got much free time, just evenings and one Saturday morning. I'm looking for ideas for how I should spend my time.

Not much going on in Cupertino as it's just filled with Silicon Valley startups and global tech (though I'm assuming if you're headed there this might be your industry and therefore might be interesting to you). San Jose as a bit going on for your evenings but if you have the time I'd go to San Francisco. It's only a 40 min drive and well worth it if you've not been.

Thanks. I would love to see San Francisco, but I don't think I have the time, sadly. I know Cupertino is mainly tech (that's why I am there, as you rightly assume).

I guess I will just be doing a bit of shopping then and enjoying the sunshine in the local park ;)

If there is someone else you could pair up with from work I would definitely head into San Francisco for an evening. An Uber or Lyft would be reasonable if shared.

Good idea, but unlikely, as I'm freelance and don't know anyone, I am visiting a client's office for a week's training.

Is training course just for you or people flying in from all over who might also want to explore a bit?

It's just me ;)

Ahh you'd be mad to miss SF - take the Cal Train?

CMOTDibbler · 26/06/2018 12:16

SF is more than a 40 min drive now - it was taking a good hour to just go from Palo Alto to Foster City last week, let alone into the city.

I'd go to the Winchester mystery house, do some shopping and walk on the trails - when I'm on the west coast I end up waking so early for a few days that the first few evenings are a bit of a washout tbh

I simply don't have the time for anything but very local, and I am gutted ;)
