DH, I and our boys age 10 and 8 are going next week for 9 nights.

I'm pregnant so looking for an easy holiday, therefore would like tips on places to go etc etc, so as not to waist time walking for nothing!!! Walking is a struggle for me at the moment!

Thanks Muminfife, we went to Mont St Michel about 10 years ago ((((scary)))) at it was lovely.

We're going to Raguenes, staying at a campsite called Les Deux Fontaines

Wonder if anyone else has stayed there?

the beach is lovely although at this time of year they don't bother to clean it ususally and one year in June it was full of seaweed (there had been big storms just before).

Beaches: One half of Plage de Raguenez is called TAHITI PLAGE. It is the most fabby, 'secret' beach with white sand and lovely sea just right for swimming. It is hard to get down to thoguh, you need to scramble down the rocky footpath.

Plage de Trevignon is nearby - huge long swathe of sand - fab walks (sorry!) and lovely swimming. Other great beaches: Trenez is nearby - lovely small beach with ice cream vendor. When the tide is out you can walk to the gun emplacement - a must for my dh and the kids . Raguenez itself is lovely.

There is a great market in Moelan sur Mer on a Wednesday morning with the best fish stall I have ever seen in my life

you are very near Pont Aven which is very touristy but nice for an afternoon, the pizza place is very good, but in the main the restaurants are over priced.

Riec sur Belon has our favourite, favourite cafe on the Moelan sur Mer. It is a creperie that sells lovely seafood and you can sit outside and look at the boats. Directly opposite is Chez Jacky which does the best seafood and oystesr in the area but is pricey (but highly recommended).

Kerdruc is a lovely tiny port with again, a lovely cafe and also a fish market.

There is a Zoo at Pont Scorff, its is quite good, we go there every year.

If the weather is bad and you fancy a drive, the lighthouse at Pointe du Raz is AMAZING but a good hour and halfs drive away. It is the most westerly point of France (i think) anyway it is COOL. There is a little horse drawn carriage that can carry you up there if you cant walk . This being France, there are no safety rules whatsoever so the sheer precipices can be a bit scary .

oh theres more.

let me know if you need anything more specific

God that must be my longest EVER mumsnet post, hope it helps!
