Eva and Thai about the same price, BA about £600 more. Any advice/recommendations? What is the food, seats, entertainment like. I know what I am getting with BA but never flown Eva or Thai

Thanks

Out of those I've only flown Thai. Highly recommended!

Eva are great. Only ever flown Thai short haul but they were good too.

I’ve flown with Thai on an internal shorthaul flight and was blown away with how good it was so would definitely reccomend

I've flown Eva to Bangkok a couple of times and they've been great. In fact, we're flying with them again in just over a month's time. I certainly wouldn't pay more to fly BA.

Dont pay more for BA.
If you can afford EVA premium economy it is really good.
If going economy Thai and EVA are equally good.

I've done both Eva and Thai - both were very good. Last few times we've done that trip though we've used Etihad and stopped at Abu Dhabi. Knocked quite a bit off the price and was only about 60-90 mins in the airport. Got to use a real loo and stretch our legs too!

I flew back from a funeral on EVA and was a bit weepy. The flight attendant was so lovely. She brought me tissues, extra snacks and drinks. So kind and helpful.

We found Eva premium economy was the same price as BA economy. Was great!

Thanks everyone. Consensus seems to be don't pay more for BA so I won't and will compare Thai and Eva.

I'm another one for Thai airways....smooth as silk.

So I booked Return flight to Bangkok and internal flight to Phuket and back for a shade under £3000 for a family of 4 at Easter with Thai Airways. Thanks for the advice!

Eva Air are great! The planes look a bit dowdy but there was loads of really nice food, the plane was less crowded (maybe because a lesser known airline?) and a really pleasant experience.

thai I think are fancier than Eva so would possibly chose that, think Thai seems way nicer than BA.

Dancergirl · 26/06/2018 16:49

We're thinking of booking for Thailand and flying with Eva. Are they a reliable airline, I've never heard of them! I'm a nervous flyer and feel safe with BA.

EVA are Taiwanese. They are one of my favourite airlines.
