Hey

I drink bottled water (just the cheap 17p 2lr bottles from asda, tesco etc) when my DD was younger my mum said she should not have mineral water. Cause i by the cheap water i dont know if she can drink it.
I have always made her drinks with tap water because of this.
It might sound strange but i dont like the taste of tape water (even with juice added) and cant help thinking of all the strange stuff that could be in it.

Is it better for her to drink tap water?
Is it better for her to drink bottled water?
I just feel bad drinking bottled water as i cant see how tap water can be good for you.....

Anyway ......... what do you think???????

I'm pretty sure it's all to do with the levels of sodium in mineral water that you should be careful. I drink bottled water - sparkling or normal mineral, I don't like the taste of tap water either. My boys drink both, but they're now 3 and 5. Why not compromise - by a Brita Filter Jug and you can both drink pure, filtered water.

i was going to suggest a water filter too. We have one and that is what we all drink - Brita Filter Jug.

Filtered tap water though I'm sure it works out almost as expensive, filters are expensive & need changing regularly!

Tap water is highly regulated. Bottled water much less so. Personally I try to avoid bottled water whenever possible. In my own house, I have a whole house filter that takes the chlorine out.

If its not very good for a 2 year old to drink bottled water what do you do when you go abroad and cant drink the tap water. We are going away soon so this would be very helpful.

Where I live in Germany most families drink bottled water, even the children. There are some makes of mineral water that are not recommended for babies (because of the high mineral content) but for a 2 year old you are ok

If you're abroad and the tap water genuinely isn't safe of course use bottled.

Where are you going - somehwere exotic? Tap water in most developed countries is fne.

we are going to greece - never been before so i havent a clue if its ok to drink tap water or not.
