Holiday mother and Ds no car

I have a week which I want to spend with my DS (13) at the beginning of July. Happy to go up to 3 hours away (plane or train) but would like somewhere all
Inclusive or lots of cafes/ restaurants nearby. Basically after something simple but nice

The Algarve? Have stayed in Carvoiero, plenty of places to eat. Can stay there without a car. Can always get a taxi if want to explore further afield
