Centre Parcs

It's a few years since we've been to Centre Parcs and I cannot remember if the curtains are any good! It's going to be longest day whilst we're there and I know ds will struggle to sleep if his room's too bright. I would also rather not be woken at 5am! We are going to Elveden staying in a Woodland Lodge. Anyone been lately who can advise? Thanks.

The curtains are thick but they don't pull right to the end (and in ours that meant a shard of light reflecting off the mirror onto my pillow at 5.30am!). After 3 nights I realised a pillow pinning the curtain to the wall at floor level helped! Also there are skylights in the bathroom and kitchen areas so if you don't close the bedroom doors fully (we didn't as wanted to be able to hear kids) light will come into the bedroom from a bright hallway.

We have just come back from there - the curtains are fairly crappy. We have blackout at home so for us, they let far too much light in! Due to the fact the windows in the lodges are large, the light just floods in. I would suggest taking a blackout blind or go with the DIY black bin bags taped to the windows.

We stayed in an executive lodge which was not worth the cost, tired, rundown and dirty. Won't be back anytime soon!

Thanks. Think I shall take something just in case!

Oh how annoying! We're going on a few weeks.

You'd think for a place geared at families they'd have proper blackout linings.

That being said ds2 currently starts the day at 4.30am, so same old same old 🙄

We us a Gro travel blind for holidays and visits to family. It has lots of suckers on it so you can adapt for different size windows.
