Do they sell formula at Manchester Airport?

Hi Everyone, I am going on holiday on Sunday with my 16months old Son (first holiday eeek) and I had planned on being super organised and ordering some ready to use formula from the airport (just enough for the journey as he still has milk before bed) but I never got round to it and now it's too late to do so!! So.. my question is do they sell ready made formula at Boots Manchester Airport (T2) ? Also, any tips for flying with a 16month old GREATLY APPRECIATED thanks guys :-)

I think they do in the Boots in the duty free

Jdabbers · 14/06/2018 13:33

Hi

You can usually do click and collect at boots airside. Order online and pick up there, saves you weight in your suitcase and you only need to get it on the plane not faff with security!!

Double check for MAN

:-)

Jdabbers I was going to do click and collect but it's too late now.. that's why i'm really hoping they sell formula there! I'm hoping someone has been recently..

Useful info on the Manchester airport website - they recommend Boots click and collect

barleyreed · 14/06/2018 13:39

Why not call Boots and ask them to reserve you some? Happy holiday :)

salisunflower · 14/06/2018 13:45

Thanks barleyreed that might be an idea! People keep suggesting click & colllect and are obviously not reading my post just the title..

Can you not just give cows milk?

salisunflower · 14/06/2018 14:42

It will be difficult as he will be due his bottle when we are on the transfer from airport to hotel so not sure where i would get it from!

Try ringing the actual shop, I was too late to do click and collect for our holiday last year but I rang and they put 6 cartons aside for me that I paid for when I went in.

Do you mean 16 months? Or weeks. Because at 16 months don’t they drink cows milk? I didn’t give formula so I admit I don’t have a clue. But I would have thought cows milk would be ok, surely he has normal meals at 16 months?

BikeRunSki · 14/06/2018 14:48

You'll be able to get cow’s milk from a coffee shop airside.

A shop at the airport.

You can take water in baby bottles and powder in tubs through security. We did this for my son as he had a special formula you can’t buy ready made. We had 4 bottles of water and nobody batted an eye!

Shiftymake · 14/06/2018 19:50

They tend to be nicer with babies and bottles, take some empty bottles and formula powder to be on the safe side? There is always water for sale in the terminal. Have some entertainment with you, drawing book with crayons, some small toys, a teddy for snuggles and a cozy smallish snuggle blanket. I always bring a tablet with us but my ds is 6 so likes to watch movies as well. I also bring an extra set of clothes in case of an accident, wipes and anti bac-handwash + a small towel. Some fruit/veg is also good to bring along but I would not bring bananas, they get ugly fast. Sliced apples, grape halves and small carrot sticks make excellent snacks.

Wittow · 14/06/2018 19:52

you can take made up bottles through security but they do sell ready made formula airside.

OutComeTheWolves · 14/06/2018 20:21

Other people have answered the formula question, so I'll give you my tip for flying with kids. Buy them a present to open on the plane. Nothing too fancy or annoying for the other passengers. I usually just do a few books or some vtech thing but it fills in plenty of time on the flight.

salisunflower · 14/06/2018 21:56

Thanks guys! Will phone boots tomorrow and ask thrm to put wine aside for me. He is 16months and eats proper meals but he absolutely loves his milk before bed so wanted to make sure I had sone!!

salisunflower · 15/06/2018 14:41
