St Lucia in September

Hi! Has anyone been to St Lucia in September? We are looking to go on honeymoon there on 4th of September staying in smugglers cove.

I've read it's hurricane season, but that the affects can really vary. I just wondered if anyone had been at a similar time and what their experiences were?

We went a couple of years ago in September, it was absolutely fine. There was a brief but heavy 10 minute shower when we got to the hotel then it cleared. I remember because we’d just got to the hotel and were waiting to be shown our rooms so we were at the bar on the beach. Days and days of sun after.
