Two nights in Normandy in July

We have two nights to kill at the end of our holiday in the Vendee in mid-July (have to leave gite on Saturday and ferry back not till Monday). Our ferry leaves from Cherbourg so I am looking for somewhere to stay close-ish to Cherbourg for two nights. Does anyone have a recommendation? Any type of accommodation is fine. Thanks!

For how many? And how old?

Just 3 of us. Kids are 9 and 12.

These are my two top suggestions. If they don't have any availability when you need, let me know and I'll suggest some others.

Barneville is lovely and about half an hour from Cherbourg.
