Luxury hotels in the Canary Islands with 8 mth old

For our first holiday abroad with dd (8 mths) we are looking to splash out on a luxury 5-star hotel. Can anyone recommend one in the Canaries (or any other destination that would be good in October)?

I know Lanzarote fairly well having lived there and Playa Blanca would be your best option. Transfers from the airport are 40 mins max and there is a lovely sheltered sandy beach and some great 5* all-inclusive luxury rated hotels. The internet will probably bring up the best ones. Lanzarote is a small island, easy to get round and Playa Blanca is the most upmarket of the 3 resorts and doesnt particularly attract the lager lout type but does have a lovely little centre and some great fish restaurants.

The Hotel Botanico or the Bahia del Duque are two of the best ones on Tenerife. if you want soemthign more boutique style try the Hotel San Roque in Garacchio (for a more authentic Canarian experience).
The Jardin Tecina is a 4* Superior on La Gomera, a less touristy island which is reached by hydrofoild from Tenerife. I've sent many satisfied families (and couples ) there over the years. they have reasonably priced Junior Suites too if you want some more space.
In Lanzarote the Princess Yaiza is very good for families and again has junior suites or full suites if you want a seperate bedroom and living room.
alternatively if you want good weather in October (i guess it does depend to a degree whenther it early or late October) you could try one of the 5 hotels in Elounda in Crete which are very expensive but very nice - though the 5 Blue Palace looks lovely and is a lot more reasonable than say the Elounda Mare.

A hotel like the Anassa is Cyprus is amongst the best in Europe. weather will be dependable in October in Cyprus.

Agree you won't get much better than Bahia El Duque
