cheap accomodation near Legoland

thinking of going to Legoland and need cheap accomodation for 2 adult and 3 children (ds1 is 3 and dt's are 8 weeks so share a cot)

Have rung Travel lodge places and they are ok with dt's sharing a cot even though website says only 1 child under 2.

But don't know the area so don't know when I should be looking. So names of Travel lodges/Inns etc would be grateful.

Planning on driving from Cornwall.

Try Slough travelodge, that is close by as is Slough's PremierTravel Inn. There is also a PremierTravelInn at Ascot.

Check to see if there are any Heathrow hotels on laterooms or any other offers for them, as Heathrow is close by and right on the M4, so it wont take you long to get into Windsor.

Travelodges:

Staines is one of the nicest ones. You have to pay for parking from 7am onwards (ie so not the night before), but on the plus side, there is a nice Waitrose for breakfast (8:30am open).

There's one in Slough, but overnight parking is fairly pricey (seem to recall £8).

Heathrow Heston are OK, but not as nice as the others. Often their rooms are on offer though - more likely than the other 2 anyway.

There are others, but I've not stayed in them. Bracknell, Feltham and Kingston upon Thames for instance

if you went for the bracknell travelodge then theres the Lookout and a swimming pool (coral reef) down the road, 10mins max - two extra activities to prolong your break

but then staines is a bit more central - easy access to windsor twon, runnymede, windsor great park and onto legoland. also pretty close to thorpe park / chessington
