First holiday with 7-8 month baby

Have been too busy to plan ahead holiday for this year and also thought it probably is impossible to travel with young baby, but now that we are more confident in travelling with baby, perhaps we should and want to go somewhere this year. Probably somewhere in Europe or UK, would like to be near beach but not that fussed. Could anyone recommend holiday destinations for first time parents with 7-8 month old baby?

I'd recommend going to Nice and staying at Novotel Nice Centre.
Sunshine is almost guaranteed but it's not too hot. The famous palm-lined Nice promenade stretches along the sea front for 8km and is perfect for pushing a pushchair. There are lots of gardens and green spaces and it's always easy to find a bench or a shady spot.
The Novotel has baby baths and baby sitting on request and family rooms are generously sized. It has a rooftop pool with sea views. Children get a warm welcome and a personal gift and it's worth noting that there's a children's library and play area. The hotel is a few minutes from the tram station and Nice airport is just 9km away.

To be honest, you can go pretty much anywhere. Now's the time to visit the places you want to before the baby is walking and you're restricted slightly. In a year's time you'll have to consider what there is for toddlers.

When ours were that age, we went to places such as Sicily, Verona, Innsbruck and Munich. I'd look at places within three hours flight and not too hot. If your baby isn't a good sleeper, you might want to get an apartment so you can take it in turns to be up in the night, rather than everyone being up together.
