Car rental Malaga Airport

Any recommendations for car rental companies operating out of Malaga airport? I have started to look online and the range in prices is extreme but I want to avoid hidden fuel charges etc and know that the price advertised is what I will be paying.

Helle Hollis is a good company with quite reasonable prices.

Avoid RecordGo and Goldcar at all costs!!

I came on to say avoid gold car! They tried to charge us an extra that had come into effect after we’d made the booking. They gave us a car with damage to the bodywork and although we pointed it out to them we were worried we’d be charged. Initially he even denied there was any damage! They were also quite insistent that we buy their insurance even although we had a receipt to say we were already insured. We didn’t buy it but it was just such a pain.
We’ve used Helle Hollis before and they were good. They are off airport though so you do have get their courtesy coach - not a huge issue. When we booked last time though Helle Hollis was a lot more expensive than the others.

I would also avoid Fire Fly who also seemed to try an accident trick. When we returned the car they went straight for the wing mirror and immediately found a tiny scratch which they obviously knew was there. Tried to charge us 130E for it!

Tony’s rent a car. They meet you in the arrivals hall so none of that queuing and so on that happens at the other desks. No hidden extra insurance charges. Very easy to deal with. We’ve been using them every year since the ash cloud! Their cars are not the newest but they are good enough.

I've used OK rent a car twice this year (April and May) at Malaga and they were great. The collection/drop off point is outside the airport but both times a minibus was there to pick us up as soon as we got to the pick up point. We got upgraded cars both times (we booked automatic cars so maybe they don't have many). And drop off was very efficient. I'd definitely use them again. Very reasonable.

On TA all the people who own places on the Costa del Sol use Helle Hollis so that's who we used. Didn't have a problem with them at all.
