Katy my partner takes his bike into his room at travelodge and premier inn. Never been a problem. There’s a couple of each in the city centre. As for train if you’re arriving with Virgin they have bike storage in front of coach A

Train stuff now sorted - hotels still pending as I'd need a room on the ground floor

Hampton by Hilton near the docks has an underground car Park.
They might have bike storage in there too?

My husband did a charity bike ride last year with about 30 other cyclists staying at hotels en route, they all took their bikes into the rooms.

Travelodge have said they will lock them in a meeting room as it's the weekend!

Pullman? Lovely hotel and I'm pretty sure the car park is underground.

Many large hotels will store a bike in the luggage storage room if you let them know in advance.
