Is there enough to do here for 7 nights or is it more a mon-fri break like UK centerparcs? What are the restaurant like and is there wifi?

We did a full week with a couple of days visiting stuff off site and it was great but my kids are young and very easily entertained by woods and sand. We didn’t eat in any of the restaurants in the evening but the breakfast buffet was great. WiFi worked fine and was included with our VIP cottage

We have stayed for both a 4 night break and a 7 night break. We found that after the 4 night break that we weren't quite ready to go home.

They have an amazing indoor pirate themed play area which is all included in the cost of the holiday. You can easily spend at least half a day here if you have children with you. There is also the swimming dome like UK CP's and a nice little petting farm which are also included for no extra charge.

The paid activities seem much better value than the UK ones and if you book early you get 3 free activity vouchers. These covered the cost for both my boys to do the high ropes and my younger son to do the laser challenge. There is also a huge lake which offers loads of water sports. You can even hire banana boats etc.

The restaurants are not that amazing, although we did enjoy Nonna's, the Italian. However it is really easy to drive into the local town of Lommel where there are some lovely Belgian restaurants.

We stayed in a VIP lodge and WIFI was included (no problems connecting) but I think it is also included in the more basic lodges now.

Once there you are free to try any of the other local CP's for the day and use their facilities. De Kempervennen in the Netherlands (the one with the ski centre) is nearby as is Erperheide so you could have a day trying out either or both of these parks if you wanted to mix things up. Erperheide has a huge indoor soft play which you can use free of charge.

Thank you. My children are 13 and 9. I am hoping that the swimming will entertain them. Its good to hear you can try out another cp whilst there. We were also thinking maybe a day at efteling and a day in Amsterdam?

The swimming pool is great - it is very similar to the pool at Eleveden. There is a big slide called Monkey Splash which is the main attraction, then they have the rapids, white slide, flumes and a little snorkelling area where you can look at various fish behind glass windows.

The Discovery Cove (pirate area) will be perfect for your 9 year old and you may find your 13 year old also enjoys it. There are water fountains, lots of climbing things, slides etc.

You will have plenty to keep you all entertained for a week, especially as you are planning trips out. Efteling is meant to be amazing.

There is a really good restaurant called Diana's in the local town which we meant to try. The reviews are all really good.

If you only stay in the park, it's too long. However if you're visiting things that's definitely not too long. I grew up near there, worked at Vossemeren as a student - it's a lovely area, people are helpful if you ask them. Belgians can be reserved but just ask and they'll be more than happy to help. Everyone apart from very elderly people will speak English too.
Some lovely towns to visit, eg Maastricht, Hasselt. Also lots of nature reserves for walks. Any questions let me know.

If you are planning on day trips then 7 days is ideal. We stayed for 4 nights last year at the end of a 3 week trip around the Netherlands and Belgium and it was ideal. We had planned to visit Efteling but were too shattered by then. We only tried the Pizza restaurant which was pretty good and not too expensive. The shop is well stocked.

We had the mid range accommodation which was fine, can't remember if there was wifi but definitely good 4G signal. There is a long bridge over the lake that connects some of the accommodation to the village centre and our lodge was just at the end of the bridge. As it was right on the lake, the kids could paddle in the lake or take a short walk to the 'beach'.

Amsterdam is definitely worth the trip. My kids absolutely loved it. You're also quite close to Antwerp, Maastricht and the 3 border crossing.
