Car seat advice - Bordeaux airport?

I've hired a car thru holiday autos and was wondering if I should take our child car seats just to be on the safe side? Am getting nervous in case they are rubbish. Not used holiday autos before, only Avis and they've always been ok.

Ta.

i would take my own car seats, you don't know for sure what the seats will be like.

Most airlines don't charge for car seats (or not much) but sometimes you have to let them know in advance and there is a small charge (with Ryanair for instance)

Thanks for replies. Think I probably should, just for peace of mind. Do they need to be packed or just take them as they are?

We normally pack them in a bin bag, tape them and put really big stickers on with name etc. Saves bits of the seat getting lost or the covers torn.

Def take your own. We were offered an unsafe one at Bordeaux once, and ended up having to buy one while we were there. I think BMI Baby might have started charging for car seats.
