Could have done 'Arrogate, not acquainted with Whitby hotels.

Fond memories of Whitby

Pre DH, a very brief interlude with a work colleague he worked in the Leicester office, I worked in the London one. He drove to London to see me on my birthday complete with huge bunch of flowers and gifts. Then he said, we can go anywhere, anywhere you want. I said I would love to go to Whitby, had never been but it really appealed. He said no sooner said than done. We went to Whitby.

Wonder where he is now, fab fab guy.

benn to harrogate many times but not whitby, so whitby (or somewhere else the coast) it has to be

Stayed there a couple of years ago. Hmm, I am sure they had a couple of family rooms. They did have a small room with toys and games in for children.
It is in a good location - on the cliff top in Whitby overlooking the harbour.

I like the Alistair Sawday guides. If you look him up on the net there is an interactive map. Good for a browse! Have a good trip x

You'll be lucky! We tried for easter, but left it too late. Things get booked up so quickly!

Why not try one of the smaller villages - Ruswarp, Goathland or Grosmont?
Or even somewhere closer to Guisborough?

AuntyQuated · 19/05/2007 22:19

Auntyquated, that's what i told dh! we stayed for two nights for 1st ann and won't stay there again! I could have booked a cottage for a week at that price! Have you looked at booking a cottage instead?

AuntyQuated · 19/05/2007 22:22

thatr looks brill GB but it is booked all the way through to october

OP posts:
AuntyQuated · 19/05/2007 22:23

we only want 2 nights, think that will be more of a problem really.

If you have time would suggest a couple of cottage sites (not cottaging, that could be rather alarming!) as some do short weekend breaks as well as weeks if you really are struggling (think they're wising up to the market available for short breaks due to hen weekends etc)

AuntyQuated · 19/05/2007 22:31

i like the look of this

OP posts:
walbert · 19/05/2007 22:39
