Hi,
I've never booked a holiday abroad before (live in UK) and would be travelling with my 10 year old daughter. I'd like to go all inc if possible so I don't have to worry and would like some sun. Can anywhere recommend anywhere for mid Aug, any hotel recommendations? Greatly appreciate any help. Smile

Cleo I took my two to an area near Malaga, South Spain, a year ago, similar ages to your DD. I was dating someone at the time and a few weeks before we flew he bought tickets to "help me", he was a pain in the @r$e dumped , we loved it and did what we wanted to do. Lots of places set up for families are fine as a single parent. Look for reasonably priced family places (save cash for daytrips) with fairly straight forward flights. It's nice to explore and some all inc. are a bit limited, you can look on maps on your phone to get an idea of what an area is like (shops / beaches).

It was Benalmedenas, may have wrong spelling. Think it was a diamond resort something hotel. Booked through booking.com.

TripAdvisor is a good place to check reviews and has price links.

We've stayed at that Diamond resort in Benalmadena. PILs live nearby and like to go for a fews days "away" sometimes. It's good.
There's an easy train from Malaga airport to Benalmadena and other places along the coast.

Benalmadena is lovely. Try Los Patos Park - it has water slides which your daughter might enjoy. Very close to the beach and a short walk to a great park.

I have done holidays abroad for the last few years . My approach has been look for pools with slides, look on trip advisor about sunbeds . If there is just you no one to go out early put towels out . Evening entertainment helps . Good animation team .

Salou is also a great place to go with a 10 year old on your own ...you can visit PortAventura (theme park/water park)... We stayed at two hotels (two different holidays) part of the same group :
Ohtels Vil.la Romana - slightly nicer...
Ohtels Belvedere

Both hotels nicely placed just outside centre ...
