We are driving to the alps from uk can you please recommend stop over places that we can spend a night with the kids to break the journey . Since it’s such a long journey with one person driving and 2 little kids . Thanks

Val Moret.

Almost exactly half way between Calais & Annecy, 2 mins from the motorway (but no noise at night). Secure parking, lovely motel/lodge like rooms, swimming pool, good playground & great food.

Nigoland is a really underrated theme park which is fantastic for the whole family. It's not much of a detour from the main Calais-Alps route. There is a hotel at the park called Hotel des Pirates which isn't as cheesy as it sounds! www.nigloland.fr/attractions-et-spectacles
