I meant we are going by train so can't pack too much. I understand the weather can change dramatically so I am unsure of what to pack

It's not too dressy in Cornwall, so I'd stick to beach wear, jeans, shorts, t-shirt type tops, with warm tops you can wear over the t-shirt if necessary, nothing worse than being cold. I'd take a wind proof water proof jacket too.
I love Cornwall, have a lovely holiday.

I love Cornwall - I'm going later in the year and can't wait! Take things you can layer to account for changes in the weather and definitely a waterproof jacket (or kagoul - if I'm not the only person who still uses one Grin ) Make sure you take shoes you can walk in comfortably across the sand dunes and cliffs. Have a wonderful holiday.

Thanks; everyone seem to love Cornwall despite the unreliable weather. It must be beautiful; I will make sure I pack for all weathers, particularly rain and make the most of the trip.

Which part of Cornwall are you staying in?

HemanOrSheRa · 26/05/2018 16:02

What part are you staying? We got here today - it's warm and the sun has been out. It's clouded over now but still lovely and warm. I was fretting too as one of the weather forecasts said there would be HORRIFYING RAIN and RAVAGING STORMS Confused.

I live there. Flip flops, wellies and a light rain coat. Job done. 'Tis gorgeous today!

HyacinthsBucket70 · 26/05/2018 16:06

We went in March, and the weather was very changeable. I took jeans/leggings, tops that layered together, a warm cardi and a lightweight waterproof.

Shorts, hoodie, Mac, waterproof sandals Wink

Kerry987 · 27/05/2018 08:30

Thanks.

We in St Ives now. Brought a bit of everything. It doesn't look like I will be wearing my shorts, sandals or swimmers but the raincoats, umbrellas and children wellies were useful last night. DH is positive he will wear his summer stuff.

See what happens later Kerry. The tide is going out at the moment. Low tide is in about an hour. When the tide starts coming back in it can sometimes 'pull in' brighter weather and it may be lovely this afternoon!
