Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has stayed here with children?
Hotel itself looks good. Just concerned about the location. Is there enough to do? Are there enough restaurants to eat out in for 7 or 10 nights? Oldest child will be 9.
Would love to hear from anyone who has stayed here with children and how they found it location wise? Will be going late October or early November if that makes a difference.
Thanks G

Hi we went to Gran Canaria in March we stayed near Maspalomas but did visit Puerto Morgan for a day it's lovely and reputed to be the prettiest place on the island you'll find plenty of restaurants the beach is nice and looks good for families can't add much more as our holiday was mainly swimming sunbathing and eating out my kids aged 13 and 10 were quite happy with that. There are plenty of excursions advertised to Aqualand, Las Palmas and Palmitos Park if you want to go further afield.

We stayed at Cordian Mogan Valle in Puerto Player with DD when she was about 11. I can't remember everything we did, but we certainly found it easy to fill out our days. There are regular bus services to other parts for a different beach, scenery or shopping. Puerto Mogan is pleasantly large, there's the port, beach, rock pools, the best market I've ever pottered around (younger ones will find plenty to look at themselves there and try and entice you to buy), loads of family friendly restaurants with character, boat trips. Whether you chose the Cordial Mogan Player or another hotel, you'll obviously have pools and entertainment facilities. You do not need to worry about having enough to do in the area. If you want to consider another hotel, again I'd recommend the Cordial Mogan Valle were we stayed.

Thank you both for your replies. I think I will go book now. It's always great to hear from someone who has been to the area. Glad to hear there is plants if restaurants and that the area looks pretty.
Will have a look at Palmitos Park for an excursion. And the market sound like something the children can wander around and buy a few bits and pieces.
Thanks again.

Hi OP, we've been to Gran Canaria many times and we stayed in that hotel a few years ago, our children were 4 and 6 at the time. We had a corner family suite, which was fantastic as we had so much space. The hotel is really beautiful, the staff were so lovely and helpful. We were half board so ate in the hotel for breakfast and evening meal. Although the food was always great, we did get a bit bored with eating in the same place every night so we went out a few times. It's walking distance to the beautiful harbour area and there are lots of restaurants and cafes there. Night life isn't too busy but that's what we wanted. I'd definitely recommend a trip to Puerto Rico,it takes about 35 mins on the boat and is really cheap too. Angry Birds land is there and our kids loved it! We got the boat there, arrived early evening and then had a meal (Miguels in the Centre is well worth a visit, best steak on the island!) and then got the public bus back to Mogan which was about €2 each!

I'd definitely recommend it, hope you have a brilliant time Smile
