I'm going mid June for 5 nights of relaxation. I'd like a hotel with a shortish transfer time from the airport. Half board at least, hopefully one or 2 shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Beach or sea view necessary and as quiet as possible. Budget less than €800. I'll travel independently or with a holiday package if the price is right (have been with jet 2 in March and was happy with their service).

I've been to the other Balearics but not Mallorca so I know nothing about it. Help please.

Hotel Cala Fornells has a half hour transfer, sea view rooms within your budget, very peaceful and walkable to a good choice of restaurants. 5 minutes shuttle to town.

Thank you. That looks nice. Is that area quiet overall?

Yes it's quiet and the road that goes past the hotel is hardly used.

Maybe not as quiet as other option but Palma Nova is genuinely beautiful and locals are fab. Hotel Globales or Hotel Hawaii both on edge of beach . Hawaii better food. We almost overlooked Palma Nova as too touristy but it's wonderful.

That is helpful owl, I had looked at palma nova being near magaluf and dismissed it. But hotel globales keeps coming up on searches. You would say Hawaii is better though? Is it just the food or something else abou it? Thanks

Owlettele · 20/05/2018 09:05

Just the food. Otherwise both pretty equal. Lovely rooms. Pool loungers view on to beach. Globales does have an indoor pool which was a plus for us as we went when it wasn't quite hot enough to warm the outdoor!

Thanks owl Smile

I'd sort of discounted palma nova too in case it was too busy and noisy for me but thank you, I'll check out availability at those hotels too.

We stayed here before it was refurbished and it was lovely then, so looks really nice now.

Paguera is a fairly quiet resorts with a pedestrianised Street of restaurants and shops and three nice beaches.

We stayed in Pollensa which was lovely. The good thing about it is, it didn't feel very touristical.
