Planning a weeks hol for me and DS13.

Is Dom Rep too far for just one week hol?

Haven't done long haul with him before but want to go somewhere special in half term after a shitty few months

So just that really...is it worth going for just 7 days?

DP and I did a week in Dominican Republic last year after a stressful few months and needed a break! I thought a week was perfect and I didn't need any longer, we found there wasn't many of the excursions we wanted to do and they were expensive. We stayed up as long as possible the first night and woke up about 7am and we didn't have a problem with jet lag.

We're doing DR for a week (next week - YIPPEE!).

I like flying and find it part of the holiday, so yes most of the first day may be spent flying but we like having a couple of drinks, reading loads, watching the movies. It feels part of the holiday to me.
