Anybody going on holiday during the whit holidays

If so where (have you been before?) and for how long? Is this your 'main' holiday?

I need some ideas.

off to ireland to the south west for a cottage holiday - its not half term in ireland so will be nicely quiet

We are going to London for a week, we are renting a small house in Greenwich. This will be our only holiday this year as we are moving house shortly (if our solicitor ever gets her bottom into gear!)

This is the company we are using - we are staying at one of the houses featured and we have been before!

we are having a week on a narrowboat in the Brecon Beacons

I say it's our main holiday but there's a fighting chance we'll be going somewhere longhaul (Pakistan, Australia) to see friends over Christmas.

Well, we're going away but it's to visit family so I'm not sure "holiday" is the correct term

For those of you with school age children do they get one week off or two at Whit? I ask because mine get two and I thinking this is a better option for a European holiday than August hols - too hot, too busy, more expensive etc.
