Car rentals in Cyprus

We are taking our 18 mo to Cyprus this autumn for our first family holiday and will be hiring a car. Can anyone advise if the car rentals have sat nav in Cyprus? Also, most importantly, do they have car seats? Are we supposed to take our own from the UK?

When we rented a car in Cyprus we didn't have sat nav but a decent paper map was fine , the roads were pretty easy to follow and traffic is much less than the uk. , sorry don't know about child seats but expect others will answer that

If you rent from one of the big firms (hertz, Sixt, enterprise, Avis etc.) then they will have sat-navs available to hire. You can book it as an extra when you make your reservation online. Personally I just use google maps and take one of those claw things to stick on the windscreen and a charging wire for my phone. I think
Cyprus comes under EU roaming so it shouldn’t cost you anything to do it that way.

A big company will also provide a car seat but you need to pre-book and it’s sometimes only available at the airport locations. Again you can book it online as an extra. If you don’t see it as an option it’s probably because that location doesn’t offer it. The seats aren’t always in the best condition so be prepared to wipe it down and for an 18 month old it will probably be a basic forward facing seat that secures with the seatbelt.

I'm concerned about what the car seats will be like. I wondered if people take their own but seems huge hassle.
